This variety is particularly grown in the western part of the Mediterranean Region in Turkey and is expanding rapidly in recent years. It is one of the most exported varieties to be consumed fresh. Not suitable to store.


It owns the most coloured rind of all the grapefruit varieties. It has a slightly flat rounded shape and both the rind and the flesh have got a rich red colour. The rind is smooth, bright, thin and easy to peel. Its acid content, less than in the other grapefruit varieties (1,49 %) and its big content in juice (43,67 %), together with its pleasant taste make it a very attractive variety. Nearly seedless.
